<description><![CDATA[<p>There is an increasing trend in cities across the country to ban the ownership of pit bulls due to the belief that the dogs are inherently dangerous. New York City may be next. New York City Council member <a href="http://www.nyccouncil.info/constituent/contact_member.cfm?con_id=79">Peter Vallone, Jr.</a> introduced a bill banning the ownership of the aggressive dogs. <br />
